Born into a family of farmers, Gabriel Barbe represents the 4th generation of cultivators on the island of Laval. For having grown up on the farm, he took over from his grandfather Gérard Barbe in 2006, and established La Cédrière Barbe. The land constitute now nearly 150 000 cedar trees, also known as Arborvitae.
